  • Where do the tours start from?
    The Best of Brisbane Walking Tour and Brisbane City Walking Tour start at Post Office Square Park in Brisbane. The address is 270 Queen Street. Directions: 1. Go to 260 Queen Street. 2. Once you're there, look for the Westpac Bank building directly in front of you. 3. Walk to the open area on the right side of the building. 4. You will find your guide on the grass, carrying an 'Urban Tours' bag.
  • How do I get to the meeting point?
    Taxi and ride share Put your address of 260 Queen Street into your desired location. This will stop next to the park. Public Transport Central Station is the closest station. It is less than five minutes walk to Post Office Square park. Parking Secure Parking offers parking underneath Post Office Square Park starting from $10. Wilson Parking offers parking close by from $7. 140 Elizabeth Street is approximately 5 minutes walk. Meeting location
  • Are there toilets on route?
    Yes, there are several opportunities to use restrooms during our guided Brisbane walking tours. You can find facilities at key locations along the route, including Brisbane City Hall, the Queens Wharf precinct, and the City Botanic Gardens. We’ll make sure to point these out during the tour to ensure you’re comfortable throughout the experience.
  • What do I need to bring?
    We suggest a hat, comfy walking shoes, maybe a snack and some water.
  • What should I wear?
    For a walking tour, comfort is key! We recommend wearing comfortable, breathable clothing and sturdy shoes that are suitable for walking long distances. Opt for weather-appropriate attire—light layers in warm weather, or warm clothing in cooler conditions. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen for sun protection, or an umbrella and rain gear if the forecast calls for showers. And, of course, bring a water bottle to stay hydrated!
  • How far do we walk?
    The distance covered on our walking tours depends on the option you choose. The Best of Brisbane Walking Tour covers approximately 6.5 kilometers (4 miles), allowing you to explore a wide range of the city's highlights. If you prefer a shorter walk, the Brisbane City Walking Tour is a more relaxed option, covering about 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles). Both tours are designed to be enjoyable and manageable for easy to moderate fitness levels.
  • What are your cancellation conditions?
    We offer flexible cancellation conditions to make things easier for you. If you're unable to attend your experience, simply email us at info@urbantours.com.au at least 24 hours before your reservation start time, and we'll provide you with a full refund.
  • What do I do if I am running late?
    We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled start time to ensure you don't miss anything. Please note that our walking tours depart promptly at the time stated on your reservation. If you arrive late, we cannot guarantee that you'll be able to join the tour. To avoid this, we suggest planning ahead and allowing extra time to get to the meeting point.
  • Are dogs allowed on the adventure?
    Unfortunately you will need to leave your K9 friend at home. The games take place in and around Queen Street Mall which unfortunately prohibits dogs. This excludes service dogs.
  • What happens if it is raining?
    Our experiences typically go ahead in light rain, so don't worry if there’s a little drizzle! We do recommend bringing an umbrella to stay comfortable during the tour. However, in the case of a severe weather event, we may need to postpone or cancel the experience for your safety. We closely monitor weather updates leading up to your booking and will notify you if any changes are necessary. The Bureau of Meteorology forecast can be found here.
  • What happens on a hot day?
    We want to make sure your experience is enjoyable and comfortable, even on hot days. Brisbane's weather can sometimes get quite warm, and in such cases, we may need to postpone or cancel your reservation for your safety and comfort. If this happens, you’ll receive a full refund. We monitor weather conditions closely and will keep you informed if any changes are needed. You can find out the latest weather forecast at the Bureau of Meteorology here.
  • Do you have luggage storage?
    Unfortunately, we do not offer luggage storage at our tour locations. However, there are several luggage storage services nearby where you can securely store your bags before or after your tour. We recommend checking local facilities such as the below options for your convenience. For small to medium sized luggage, Uptown's Rent a locker can be found on Level Q and at the bus terminal, Stop 1G.
  • Do I need to bring anything?
    For the game, you will be given a game bag with tools to help with your challenges, pens and paper. We recommend to bring a bottle of water and to dress appropriately for the weather. Please bear in mind the game is played outside and you will be walking about 2.2 kilometres.
  • How many people are in a team?
    Teams are between 2-6 players. Once you have more than 6 players, you will be given another game bag and will compete as teams.
  • How long does a game take to play?
    Games can take up to two hours to play. You do receive bonus points for completing a game within 90 minutes.
  • Are there actors involved in the game?
    You will meet your game host who will be in character throughout the game. Everyone in between will be the general public. This doesn't mean you can't play a character.
  • Can children under the age of 12 play?
    Yes, your child under the age of 12 can accompany you in the game without needing to purchase a ticket. Our wizard game is the easiest to play where as our Detective Game and Spy Game are aimed at 14 years and older. Anyone over the age of 11 needs to purchase a ticket.
  • Do I have to be physically fit to play?
    The game takes place on the streets of the CBD and covers roughly 2.2 kilometers. There are no stairs and the ground is mostly flat.
  • Is there a minimum age requirement?
    The game is aimed at people aged 14 and above. Any participant under the age of 18 will require a legal parent or guardian to accompany each team.
  • Where does the game take place?
    The games are place outside and around the Brisbane CBD. Each each game takes a slightly different route but a map is provided. The challenges use local history markers and are not able to be moved to another location.
  • Is the game based on an app?
    No, use your game bag and its contents to complete challenges. You will be given a map to help navigate.
  • Where does the game start?
    The games start Reddacliff Place, otherwise known as Brisbane Square (opposite the Treasury Casino)
  • Can I join my friends if I have played before?
    You are more than welcome to join your friends if you have played the game before. The walk around the city is a great way to catch up between challenges.
  • Can I play if I have had alcoholic drinks?
    Any player who is intoxicated unfortunately will not be able to participate. We can help organise a venue for after the game if you do like to celebrate.
  • Is Brisbane Street Games a good team building activity?

  • Brisbane Street Games equipment
    Each of the games cover roughly 2.2kms throughout the Brisbane CBD. There are no stairs in the games. The game books are written in 14pt font size. Each challenge uses local buildings and history plaques which are immovable objects.

    There are toilets en route located at Uptown David Jones Centre Winter Garden Centre City Botanic Gardens (Guided Walking tour and Spy Game only) Alternative toilets can be found on the National Public Toilet Map
